But there's certain times when...
I'm looking at how England played when I've seen them in Perth, for example, and just as a layman, I couldn't understand.
People are bowling and they've got four waiting down, waiting to catch you.
I couldn't understand why you'd go after that, why you just didn't let it go.
But I always think about management as getting the best out of what you've got to work with.
And of course, we all want to play a certain way.
One of the biggest jobs I had was Newcastle, of course, and I'm a Newcastle lad.
And I knew what the Geordies wanted.
They wanted a team that was up and at you.
You know, a certain crowd that wanted a bit of blood and thunder.
And we were the total opposite.
We would sit defensively, we'd sit deep, play the back five.
Not very good to watch.
But my remit was to keep Newcastle in the Premier League.
And I would love to have a team that would come and
Like Newcastle, maybe not this season, but the last two, three seasons, which are competing for trophies and competing in the Champions League to play a certain way.
I was totally opposite because of what we had at the time.
I didn't have a team.
So would you adapt your staff?
You know, we talk about Amorin and I think he got bogged down that he had to play this certain way and maybe didn't have the players to play that way.
