And he'd remember quite quickly, but it definitely happened twice because he called me both times and it was hard conversations because
it's, you know, like we were saying, when you have a kid, you can tell them anything and they believe you, it's great.
But dad, his mind was going, reverting, it was kind of falling apart.
But he was still bright enough to know that I couldn't spoof him, I couldn't say, don't worry, everybody has that.
He goes, I never had that before.
He was clever enough, his own kind of cleverness undid him a little bit, but it did happen to him and
it happened obviously it happened with with mom occasionally he'd say sorry do you mind me asking who you are and she could be dressing him you know and stuff like that and then she it was actually quite therapeutic for mom when he did ask those questions i found it very heartbreaking but she would then go through their history and how they met and fell in love and had the you know uh to avoid myself my sister and even like like we're both adopted you know he would he
He would say, we adopted children.
And so how's that?
You know, they'd have a conversation about his life as if it was somebody else's, but it would then piece things together.
And then later on in the day, he would kind of go, I'm sorry about that.
It's all in me now.
I don't know where it was then.
You know, it's a fascinating thing, but it's not good.
