I think so, yeah.
Well, maybe not.
They're probably, you know, they come and go, you know.
So the one that I've drawn on most for this interview is A Quarter Dead and Half Alive.
So as I said, I haven't read all of your poetry, but if people want an introduction to Steve Denham, I think that's a good one, is it?
Yeah, they're all grand.
Actually, yeah, probably the newer ones are probably better.
you know you would hope you improve as you go on you know but there's that's from a lovely publisher called renard press and the editor there's a fabulous fella so there'll be another one next year if you were to read one of your poems what would you read in real like right now yeah oh uh this could be actually i i tend to um i tend to not depend on my own
judgment, I submit poems and if one's accepted somewhere, I kind of think, well, that must be all right.
And if it's the others aren't, I kind of think that's obviously not that good.
So this hasn't been accepted.
This is brand new.
So that's interesting.
yeah because I don't have faith and see the amount of stuff I've written some stuff and I think that's the best I've ever written and nobody touches it like and nobody even responds to it I'll say to him or Robin Robin's really good at English actually and I'll say to Robin like here listen to this I hate reading poems but I'll read one to Robin no problem and I'll say here what do you think of that and she'll go pfff
And there's no response.
Oh, yeah, that's okay.
But to me, it's like, wow, I can't believe I've done this.
And they're the ones that fail miserably every single time.
