I was in China to go to the Gangzhou Conference where they had three football stadium-sized buildings chock full of goods and trying to figure out what to source and what to sell.
By the way, I would not recommend going to that.
Instead, I would recommend picking six manufacturing plants and visit them directly instead of going to a conference.
It was eye opening, but I felt like I was in a circus and I and I felt like I was a dancing bear.
I did see a dancing bear in China, by the way.
You can't find that in America because, you know, that's animal abuse in America.
But in China, it's just hilarious.
Very different cultures.
China is a culture of bribery, trickery, and communism.
And you could say America is becoming this, but right now it's freedom, capitalism, although co-opted capitalism, let's be honest, and the ability for a guy like Stephen Pope, yours truly, to go out and create a business and succeed.
I don't know if I could have succeeded in China.
I don't know if I could have succeeded in any other country the way I've succeeded here.
I am grateful for that.
But I also recognize it's difficult.
It is difficult to do what we do in life, even here.
He's like, it's easier for a rich man to get through the eye of a camel, basically, for those that don't know, to get through a really treacherous part, holding a camel underneath a cliff of edge.
I don't know how to describe this very well, but it's difficult for a rich man to get in heaven, and it's easier for a poor person.
