I saw the writing on the wall, so I quit.
The CEO was fired the next couple of weeks and the German owner showed up and shut the business down a few months after that.
So I've been in a lot of sinking ships.
You know, it's weird.
As a consultant, you never see a functional company.
barely ever maybe an occasional audit you catch a functional company and they're like thanks for your audit bye but like as a consultant you're constantly like oh my gosh this company is so messed up and all you got to do is just pay attention and follow my path and you guys would succeed and then they can't because they can't do what you say because they're so messed up but but as a consultant that's what i saw every single day all the time messed up companies
I am so good at fixing messed up companies.
I wouldn't know what a good company looks like except the one I run.
Now that's my perspective.
