But at any given moment, somebody could come to me and say, hey, agency ABC is offering me a 20% raise.
And to prevent this as a global problem โ it's an isolated problem today, but it could become a global problem at any agency ever โ
Because it's so easy to leave an agency job and join another one.
The skills are in demand.
Now, it's easier to hire them, but it's also easier to lose them.
So there's trade-offs, right?
So if somebody's relying upon you for equipment, it's much harder for them to leave.
Nonetheless, do you really want that equipment back?
Now, the question then becomes, well, if it's so easy to operate it, why doesn't everybody else do it?
And that comes back to the burnout question because it's relentless.
It's relentlessly easy to run, but at the same time, you're on 24-7.
And I attract other people that also like to add value and feel valuable.
So motivation is unique to the person.
And I talk a lot about this as it relates to the platinum rule.
So if the golden rule is to treat other people how you like to be treated, the platinum rule is to treat other people how they want to be treated.
And each person wants to be treated differently.
If I manage 10 people the same way, five of them are not going to like it.
So for example, if I have a high drive person and I tell them what to do, they're not going to like that.
They're going to prefer I set a goal and hold them accountable to it.
