Luckily, I think it's true if anyone has a spine, but also if anyone has sufficient self-interest.
And so I think I can be more optimistic than just hoping someone here has a tough moral core.
It's like if anyone here has an interest in them being a business in a year...
They need to decide, all right, do we work with the United States government or not?
And I mean, you pitched the delightfully obscene thought experiment of the US saying, you know what?
Yeah, Google is now a supply chain risk.
You can't use Google at government jobs.
No one can tie into this at all.
I can imagine that table turning to the way and be like, all right, cool.
You know what?
Google will not direct traffic from Pentagon computers, right?
You guys can use Microsoft Edge and Ask Jeeves instead.
Is that informed, like, on, like, other than, you know, speculative download rates and stuff?
Is that what you imagine is happening?
I could see it stopping again in just a few days of like some of the fervor kind of subsides and then people remember what they were fighting about and it's like oh yeah you're pissed because they wouldn't let you make kill bots well we don't really we the public don't really want that either.
You know, reds or blues don't want automated kill bots or mass surveillance.
So, like, I'm hoping that when they find, you know, when the actual crux of disagreement comes back into the center of the conversation, that people will realize that this is a tribal issue.
You know, we both hate this on both sides of the aisle.
