And you can't question that, given the title that he's won since.
And again, I could say the same about Carlo Ancelotti, his decisions, Mikel Arteta here, talking about Schmeichel and making big decisions.
You can go all the way back to the 1994 FA Cup final, where Sir Alex Ferguson won.
He wasn't Sir at the time.
uses one team throughout in the Cup, and then in the final, plays a starting team, and they lose 3-1 to Villa.
And he writes in his books that he questions that decision, whether he should have played his team that played in the Cup all the way throughout, because they felt like this was their opportunity, this was their tournament.
So even Sir Alex Ferguson looks back on some of those decisions,
questioning decisions that he made.
So again, all I'm saying is, as a manager, you make your decision as to what it is and go with it.
Now, from my perspective and talking about this week and the buildup, from the time the Champions League games were done, you knew who was going to play
in the cup final for Pep Guardiola.
There was no question about it.
And James Trafford had that confidence that he had the manager's backing.
Now, I don't know whether Arteta was seeing so behind the scenes, but, seriously, publicly, we weren't quite sure.
And whether Kepa felt that confidence, felt that backing, again, is a question.
All of those things are relevant.
So, a couple of things to address here.
And while I get what Jan is saying about Sir Alex Ferguson and Pep Guardiola being serial winners, again, Pep did this in his first season as manager for Barcelona.
