And Kars comes in and bowls a pretty sloppy opening spell.
I think his opening spell figures with the first new ball, 31 overs, 347.
And he's just not setting the tone.
at all when you're doing that sort of thing.
I'm delighted you picked the windiest spot in Sydney, by the way.
I've not felt a breath of wind for six weeks.
It's been mentioned, don't worry.
But my reflections are it feels like a huge missed opportunity this tour.
I think Australia have had an experienced team that have been able to get them over the line in the pressure scenarios.
England have melted and they've shown no awareness of game situations.
But that does come
the more you play and the more you experience.
I feel quite clear in the team set up going forward.
I think we have to find a spinner that you book in and get some experience on, on a lot of different surfaces.
But I think the top seven stays as it is.
I think it's important whether you're a player or a coach, you do it your way, certainly, because then you're authentic to what you believe.
But the best coaches in the world
in all sports adapt to the players they've got.
I reflect on when Baz came in, he had Johnny Bairstow, Jimmy, myself, Rooty, Stokesy that he could bed messages in and they were experienced enough to go, yeah, I can know what I'm doing, give me that and I can move it forward.
Then when you're giving those messages to younger players who don't know the game as well and are still finding their feet, maybe it's harder to implement and maybe they don't understand it.
