What do you think of double-up games by the time we reach round 13?
In a couple of cases, there's only eight weeks between the last time you played an opponent in an 18-team competition.
Yeah, you do keep your data and you keep your β
You know, there's reference to the last time you played them if it's this year, especially if it's like a 10-week split.
You'll go, this is what happened last time.
And it won't mean everything, but it means a little bit.
So when you're doing your opposition preparation, which is normally on a Monday or Tuesday night after you review the game with the players and they've all gone home, you get β
the oppo coach in and you go through some data and analytics and no doubt they'll go, well, this is what happened last time we played and what did we take from it?
What did we do well?
What were we beating at?
So that's all part of the weekly prep and that's why these coaches work 60, 70, 80, 90-hour weeks because the players are there.
You need full-on attention with your players.
As soon as they walk out the door, you're into the other phase of coaching, which is around preparation and reviewing.
And philosophically, should we play everybody once before we have double-up games?
I'm not as stressed about that one.
I'm okay with that.
I think it'd be quite difficult to make sure that happens.
