Yeah, I'll say it again.
I don't look back with judgmental eyes at all.
And I wish that the world had been a better place for them.
It's been incredible to see people encouraged by this to ask their own hard questions and to look at their family trees at the blank spots or the gaps with critical eyes or more loving eyes.
You know, I think our...
attempt to heal has shown the possibility of it.
You know, I see through my cousin's eyes now, and they're white Midwestern eyes.
And when I talk to them, I try to explain the way I look at things through my black Southern eyes.
And you know what?
Everyone is seeing more clearly now.
What we've done... Can you give me an example of that?
Yeah.
We talked about something that's really hard.
You know, we talked about white privilege one day.
And
What it meant to have it, what it meant not to have it.
And I think the first generation of kids from George and Edward, you can see the difference most clearly there.
