Um and the mage sort of says, gee, you know, with everything that's going on, I don't know that we're gonna have a test of high sorcery anytime soon, but I'll provisionally allow you to be a member and cast spells.
spells and you know maybe someday after the war is over you can get that test which is kind of a fun way to do that more on that later um but you then join you tour the castle Calaman and uh Derek is now an envoy serving Marshall Vendry and we get a bunch of missions
Uh, to go and sort of prove that you're part of this army, but also to start building up the expectation that, hey, the dragon army's coming here and they're gonna attack Calaman.

And there are then a bunch of other missions.
You can ambush the enemy, break a draconian road blockade, rescue captured scouts.
