Yeah, Inkwell Ideas I think was probably the second Kickstarter I ever backed for a set of dice that kind of had cool dungeon faces. They have a new offering on Backerkit called Hexploration Decks. There are four of these Hexploration Decks, each card deck offering ideas to bring the Hex to light. The four types are Settled Lands, Wilderness, Underrealms, and Otherworldly Domains.

The project also provides the tiles of each terrain type so that you get the visual look of the hex.

And I dig it's one of those where everything's complete. So it's like you're just funding this. We've made it. It's ready to go. You'll get it. No doubt. Exactly.

Yeah, that's fantastic, Sean. My wife had a bunch of coursework in survey design and did some work in it. And so we would often talk about the Wizards of the Coast surveys, and then I would get her insight into what it meant. Things that I've noticed over the years that are really key is that idea of knowing what you're asking and why you're asking it.

And it's really an interesting way to look at a survey, right? Like, what is the company asking? and what do we think they'll do with it? Right. And we can see like wizards of the coast would kind of, it's almost feels like what they want is a, a, um, pass fail on their ideas, uh,

Rather than asking questions about what you want or getting into details of the types of thoughts you have around the game. And that's a very interesting thing to do, right? Because what you're saying is, hey, what if the player's handbook has, you know, beast headed creatures? OK, you hated it. It's gone. What if I change how critical hits work? Oh, you hate it? It's gone. Right.

Rather than saying, what would you want from critical hits in today's game? What kind of variance do you want in species? You know, where kind of, you know, it's there's a whole set of questions you could ask that could get to that and really provide greater information. You know, we weren't asked questions.

anything about and even obviously there are the issues the timing and things like that but the there we were told oh you'll get to check out the monsters we never did you got to check out the new encounter design rules that we're testing we never did right they never got to these things but there had been that desire and so that's the other thing that's difficult about surveys is you often have a desire to do things but you may not get there

And that will hurt what you end up with if you can't get any feedback on it. And maybe they took those out simply because they didn't know how to ask the question in a way that would have been productive to them. I don't know.
