There's no reason to throw it all on one big throw into double coverage down the middle of the field.
If they're going to give you the underneath stuff, be confident in those things and then take the big shot when it does present itself, not just when you run the route deep.
And that's where I think the true confidence comes in.
And we're getting there, I think, right?
That that's going to be something that needs to be learned and he needs to make that confidence a little bit more calm confidence.
Yeah, and I think the actual number is 39% of his pressures were partly his responsibility.
That would be top five among all quarterbacks last year, and that would put him first among starting quarterbacks last year.
I mean, there's also like the not taking a sack, but because because a lot of these were, you know, like you said, he doesn't run backwards in the pocket.
He will try and step up or step out of the pocket when he's scrambling.
A lot of these sacks do happen as he's stepping up into the pocket.
And, you know, he's only like a yard or two or three yards from the line of scrimmage.
And other times they don't count as sacks because he's gaining a yard on it.
And, you know, on first down, getting to second and nine is really not like the end of the world.
But on second down, only gaining one yard can really put you in bad situations, especially when you're the one creating the pressure yourself.
I do think that a lot of this has to do with what we were saying early on with the confidence stuff and not just ripping it when opportunities present themselves.
A lot of the quick stuff that just the window was there and then it closed and he didn't trust it.
Now he's going to have to figure something else out.
Um, and a lot, and, and, you know, then you just start running around and it becomes hard to become an offensive lineman.
Uh, when you have a quarterback, you don't know where the hell he is in the pocket.
