We're right beside the cage fields.
People have lived here forever and yet national policy, national reports, all states, rural Ireland
Yeah, but, like, OK, for me, I don't have a farm.
But what about, like, there is people who have farms.
There's sons and daughters who have farms.
Like, are you going to move all the older people out as well?
So, like, do I... Right, I can't build in rural Ireland because, as you've said, it's not sustainable, so therefore I move away.
But my mum is left here on her own and...
That's okay, sure.
It's grand because she'll be gone and then the place will be empty and we'll get the place closed down as quick as we possibly can.
Why is sustainable just about the current?
Why can't sustainable be about making sure that the community in rural Ireland has a future?
the idea that the only way forward is to move people out of the country side in Ireland.
Like, it's just... It's against my nature, given that I have grown up here.
