Yeah, it's like... I can't say I've ever done it, but there are moments... Well, could you do it, please?
Well, I hated it at first, but then over like many hundreds of times, you just, you just kind of get used to it.
I still don't love it, but you get used to it.
I appreciate it.
Thank you.
This is the inner imposter in me going, I can't believe Joe Wilkinson's written my book.
So every time you say that, I'm sort of shying away because I can't actually believe it.
Shitloads of words I didn't understand, if it helps.
That's what we feel about.
Um, now the worst one is TED talk because you don't have, if you do a lecture, you just have to educate and inform.
But for a TED talk, there's a kind of extra piece, which is entertain.
And yeah, I can entertain.
Like, I don't know what I'm doing in that domain.
so that was the hardest thing and of course the americans like ham it up to the extreme so i'm like in my little rabbit hutch in the green room beforehand like just just wanting to get this 15-minute talk over and done with out with no mistakes or capitulating and you've got these you know these guys like pumping you up like oh we're going to do some exercises are we going to get out you know we're going to say no thank you i had to get involved i'm from wellingborough
I had to get involved because everyone else was, and I didn't want to like be the only one to be sitting in the corner, like really antisocial.
So I'm like doing these exercises, doing these stretches, warming up my vocal cords and all the rest of it.
And then you lead, you led onto the stage and there's still, you know, they really pumping you up.
You got this, you got this, you know?
