They really did bring in a guy that, at least in terms of the concerns that I've been talking about the last two weeks, goes a fairly long way in addressing them.
Is it enough?
I would say no.
But in terms of what this first Ryan Johnson, Henrik Daniels sitting offseason looks like, right?
Just like we know that the Canucks franchise isn't going to get turned around simply with who they pick third, we should know that it's not going to get turned around either in one offseason.
And at the very least, I feel like the Canucks now have enough to hold the fort.

And I think the hope should be
Then on the other side of July 1, as they sit and think and reflect and look at sort of what happened, hopefully there'll be other changes.
Hopefully there'll be other promotions.

And hopefully these moves will be part of the story that we're telling about the Carolina Hurricanes in 2018 when they took Andrei Svechnikov second overall and began to put in place all these pieces and traded Victor Rask for Nino Niederreiter and began to collect small wins that over the course of eight years accumulated into being this incredible team that went 16-3 in the Stanley Cup playoffs.
