So despite, you know, my concerns about the scoring profile in a vacuum, the truth is, is that when the league drafts OHL centermen this high following their age 17 season, they're pretty much always right.
Yeah.
You know, even when they're wrong, it's wrong, like directionally correct.
I worry about it because I think you want
I think the general rule, especially at the top of the draft, is that you're looking for the guy who's just been a prodigy the whole way up.
And there's going to be guys who are prodigies the whole way up left on the board.
Verhoff is a guy who's just absolutely destroyed his peers for years and years and years and been the best player since he was 14.
even though he was like just switching over to the position and then played NCAA hockey at 17 and played top four minutes and had 20 points, which we very rarely see 17-year-olds be capable of on a team that made the Frozen Four.
Or like Viggo Bjork, who is the most productive centerman we've seen in the SHL at the age of 17.
In 35 years, like I really struggle.
I don't I guess what I'd say is I find the late improvement argument far less compelling than this guy has always crushed it against older competition and his historically good relative to most players that have taken a similar path.
The trade down would be awesome.
If you trade down everyone, it's like, yeah, that's a huge win.
And move to, I mean, what are the other teams that have first slate?
Seattle.
Yeah.
Calgary.
Calgary.
Because Calgary has.
Yeah, perfect.
