They had as much draft capital as the Vancouver Canucks this year, right?

And the Canucks are... Opposite ends.

The Canucks aren't badly situated in terms of their overall draft capital, but they're going to need more.

Yes.

So I want to see them subtract.

I want to see them graft value onto this roster.

And then I want to see them create the space to sort of take that.

So long as it fits within a holistic vision, so long as it's not evident where the seams are all over the place in terms of this team lacking experience in the front office and lacking resources from the ownership level.

I'll be like, okay, that's fine.

But I also don't think that's fine is enough for this team and this organization in this emergency moment in their sort of franchise building cycle.

I don't think like fine or like good enough is

gets you even close to beginning to out-accumulate the 31 other NHL teams in this league enough that, you know, in five to six years, we can talk about the Canucks, like, maybe hosting a meaningful game again.
