Many states have already banned the dissemination of sexually explicit deepfakes or quote, revenge porn or non-consensual pornography. But the Take It Down Act is a rare example of federal regulators imposing on internet companies, which is something we have been fighting for. This is just such a huge win for survivors.

So many nonprofits that we work with and follow were ecstatic to see this passed. I hope we see more legislation like this that protects our citizens in the ways that tech companies need to be responsible for these products that they're packaging and they're selling to people, whether it be dating apps, social media, pornography sites, etc.
