Just look deep at them and try to be like, where did I see that before? Because you definitely have seen it somewhere, and it might not be where you expect. Stuff left and right in this to just kind of find joy in. The story's simple but fun, and I think there's a surprising amount of depth to it in terms of the protagonists. It is not just Dante's story.
It is Dante and Lady getting kind of equal screen time, and I think they do a really good job throughout the season of โ making both of their characters matter and having a really nice conversation back and forth between the similarities between them and then the differences between them while telling their own stories, but also a shared story as well. Yeah, I think this is just a major success.

This is definitely another win for video games being adapted to movies or TV. And that's great. I love that stuff. And again, when you have people that are passionate and really care about...

I am definitely booting up, so don't make me cry this weekend. You're right. It puts you in that mood of like, oh man, I gotta get back to this. I want to play this. Yeah, that's awesome. I hope you stick with it, because I think you're gonna really vibe with it. I don't even want to hint at it, but some of the story beats that they get to, I'm like, wow, this is very, very smart. I expect that.

Alex Larson is a very, very, very smart writer, and I've loved every project I've seen that he's been a part of, and this is no exception because it's the perfect example of one of my favorite things, which is highbrow, lowbrow. You know what I mean? It's a freaking cool guy saying dumb one-liners, killing demons while in biscuit plays, right?

But we can add some depth to that, and it doesn't need to be the deepest thing ever, but sometimes the simplicity with just a little bit of, like,

And it's Johnny Young Bosch, man. One of the goats. Like it's like the second Black Ranger, Lelouch in Code Geass, Nero in the Devil May Cry games. Like legendary, legendary shit. I really loved my time with it. I did not expect to watch it all in a day. You know what I mean?

I'm not typically a binger like that, but when I watched four episodes on the plane and then I got home and I'm like, I'm finishing this thing. That's how into it I was. I don't think that it's perfect. The animation isn't always perfect. what I want to see from it. Like sometimes there's that, that like 3d CG looking stuff and like it stands out and it doesn't look too good.

Um, but like that really doesn't get in the way. I'd say overall they, uh, worked within their means, uh, with the animation. And I think that it, this is not an example of style over substance. I think the style and substance perfectly match. And that's awesome for a devil may cry anime.

Yes, and he kills it. Oh, my God.

Yeah, exactly. Yeah, great, great voice cast. Really, really fun characters they introduce as well. And, man, if you're a Devil May Cry fan, When the credit song hits, it's going to hit you. It's one of those things where I never skip intros. I'm an intro boy. I like it. Essentially, if a show has a bad intro, I'm just not going to watch the show. But I always watch the intro.
