What a week. Oh, my God.
Bad week in some ways, but good mostly, I would say.
Yeah, it's rough. Obviously, there's a lot of bad. We're going to talk about a lot of that. But a lot of good. I will just say a lot of good in terms of friendship, in terms of companionship and fun. Me, you, and Roger in New York had a great time. Fantastic time the last couple days. Very busy. My voice has gone a little bit. I don't know how that happened, but it did. We talked to so many people. We did. We talked a lot.
We talked nonstop for the last three days.
I was asking so many questions. Didn't get many answers. That's classic Nintendo. I want to address something at the top of the show real quick. I don't want to go too deep or too long, but just a couple things because now officially we can, embargoes are up. We can say whatever we want to say about this stuff. Obviously, I wanted to be here for the live reaction to the Nintendo Direct 2. I tried my best to make that happen. When I found out the times were overlapping, I was very upset. Upset to the point that I was like, hey, can we not be there in the in-person thing? And can we just record our reactions in a hotel? And they were like, no, you have to be there. And then I was like, okay, but can I record my reaction at the theater.
Can we just put a camera under there and me, Raj, and Bless react and edit it and put it up later? And they're like, let me see. And they tried to see. And then they said no. And I'm not kidding you. I then begged them to allow us to do it. I have an email that in all caps I said, please let us do this. It is very important to me. And they said, sorry. So I just want to let y'all know, I fought the fight. I care more than you do. But I really, really, really appreciate that so many of you care. I am sorry that you were let down in any way. But we did what we think is the right call. We got to go hands-on with this thing. That was very important that me and you specifically got to hold this thing and be able to tell you guys our experience, seeing it in action, seeing the screen itself, feeling the buttons, like having...
hands-on experience with the the mouse control and the new joy cons and and all of that stuff so just putting that all out there um and also we couldn't say anything beforehand you know nintendo is secretive this is the most secretive they've ever been they're like you can't even hint that you're going on a trip that you're gonna be in new york that all that you're gonna be there at all so obviously we wanted to tell y'all way more information than we were able to so Just setting the record straight there, letting you know all that stuff. So please, if you see people saying stuff, let them know that's where things are at. That makes sense?
I think that makes perfect sense. And this is what I'll say, is that I had the time of my life this week. Me too. I think for me and you, and you've been in the industry for decades. You've been in the industry for a very long time at this point.
