I have tremendous respect for those who make functional arguments as to why we should not be involved in these incursions, these interventions.
And it's because of the risk, the dice roll.
We don't know if we can succeed.
It is a tremendous undertaking.

Do we really want it?
The question is, you're at a bar.
And a guy is being a dick and he's splashing a beer in people's face and you're minding your own business.
People start complaining.
And then eventually someone comes to you and says, bro, we need your help.
Are you going to keep letting him?
You're the biggest guy in the bar.
Can you do something about this?
And you're like, look, it's not worth getting into a fight.
It's going to get bad.
The dude walks up to you and starts shoving you and shoving you.
