They're engineering a virus, gain-of-function research, to make it strong enough to kill Homelander.
It will kill any Supes, anybody who's got superpowers.
It won't kill humans.
And they go to this dorm, or it's a frat house, and they're like, we are going to kill a soup with this virus.
And they go there when they think the college kids superheroes are not there, right?
The idea is we don't want to kill innocent people.
They don't want to wipe out every soup on the planet, but they got to kill Homelander, and collateral damage is acceptable.
So...
They go in, and there's this guy.
He's basically just covered in lava rocks.
He can't move.
And so they're like, we're going to infect him with this virus and kill him.
Unfortunately, uh-oh, there's some young woman doing TikTok videos upstairs.
Wasn't supposed to be there.
And so one of the characters goes, what do we do with her?
And they're like, crap.
Well, her fate will be the same as his.
Basically saying...
we will kill, excuse me, we will kill this innocent woman to get out to meet our agenda, just the way it has to be.
And it does show the good guys are conflicted because the human good guys are like, we will kill every person with powers, including the people we know and love to get what we want.
