There is a great scene where Homelander is like, I have dedicated my life to helping these people.
And they flutter like rabbits around me.
Like that power really has separated him from everybody else.
There's a great opportunity, really, that I just don't think the show is hitting on.
That being said, the worst thing about the show, which makes it difficult to watch, is how it's like, we get it, you don't like Trump.
We get it, Christians are bad.
We get it, America sucks.
Fine, just stop.
If the show just stuck to Homelander being a dick because of his powers, and you could throw an element of that pro-America stuff on top because he's Homelander,
It could work.
And that's what struggles to shine through with these producers' psychotic obsession with hating Donald Trump.
It's sad, really, because they're fun shows.
They are.
But whatever.
In the end, the one thing I do like about the show is for all of that criticism, I can say one thing.
The good guys are actually bad guys, and they let that shine through.
So in one scene...
They have a virus, and they want to kill Supes with this virus.
The only way to stop Homelander, because he's impervious, he can fly, they need a way to kill him.
And so they are genetically engineering.
