So, I mean, it really depends on your individual circumstances, right?
And health insurance, because there's no upfront underwriting and it's community rated, it is a product that follows you through your life stages.
So if you take me as an example, let's use a personal example here.
I first took out health insurance when my income reached a certain level and I started paying extra tax and then I looked for the incentive to purchase health insurance.
Now, other people are actually covered
at a young age, upwards to 25 sometimes, under their parents' policy.
And when they roll off, they need to be covered.
Now, the reasons you take it out when you're younger are sometimes different from the reasons you need it later on in life.
I did have it at a young age.
I was fortunate enough to take it out at a young age.
Sometimes it's things like you're playing sport and you see people get injured and those types of things.
So it's really important depending on your lifestyle.
You know, other people, you know, they might have had mental health issues when they were a teenager and they're coming off their parents' cover and they don't want to be, you know, a burden and fall down on the public system.
So they take it out for those reasons.
A lot of stories we hear about for people that are younger is their parents actually say to them, this is really, really important and you're not covered by our policy at the moment.
So we want to make sure you take out a policy for yourself because it's really important if anything happens to you.
Now, as you go along in life, they may be the initial reasons you take it out.
You might decide you need to start a family.
