So apparently, if you can get shoes made for you, no matter what they're made, they're far more comfortable than shoes off a rack.

I got inspired to write a whole book once about being caught on a beach in Kerry wearing Birkenstocks and a pair of socks.

And I remember just looking at myself going, I'm done, I'm finished.

But you see, I don't think it's necessarily a male-female thing because I've had loads of lads say to me on nights out going, what are you doing with the boots?

Yeah, right.

So it's like, I don't know, it cuts both ways.

But the sandals, I think it's universal, Ray.

Men and women will go, get rid of the sandals.

You can't carry them off like they can.

You know, you're not in a primary school play about the nativity.
