over the last few years, I decided that I really, really wanted to put more energy into my friendships and to really focus on fostering those deeper friendships I have as opposed to really focusing just on work and my family.
And so now I have a ritual that when I get to the end of a social event with some friends, an individual or a group of friends, we can't leave before we've made another date.
I love that.
Well, you know what?
It's just so not true.
If you think about it, we are so β I mean, even β so, right, I have a new book coming out.
You say, well, you wrote that book by yourself.
Well, that is just not true.
There are zillions of stories in there of people I needed to get excited about contributing, but then there's a publisher and then the marketing people.
There's a whole team that even though something might look like it's got your name on it, there's a whole crew of people who have supported this effort.
And this is true with everything you do.
You are part of a team.
And understanding the relationships of how you build trust, how you resolve conflicts, how you ask for help, how you help others, all of these things contribute to building a community who is supporting each other in reaching their goals.
