to fill that shift, which meant that they were losing revenue.
They weren't able to deliver orders.
They weren't able to deliver a great quality experience.
So the MVP we started with was scheduling.
And we originally built something that I think is a very pretty scheduler.
But as we talked to more and more customers, we started realizing that scheduling was a solved problem.
The value came in all the little moments in between.
I think
A decade ago, a tool might have showed up and said, hey, scheduling used to take eight hours.
Now it will take one hour.
But even saving that seven hours didn't seem impactful enough to us.
So we started then leaning into what our customers were telling us, the features in the MVP that they really loved, which were these automation tools, which were these customization tools.
So they could add a custom field and have an automation fill it out.
Because every single time a scheduling tool had someone late, it would just turn red, right?
That red shift meant that an admin had to do something.
But what that admin had to do, that was the real value.
That was not just eight hours a week.
That was 40 hours a week of a manager scrambling to find a replacement.
That was 10 hours a week of a manager's filling out the shift.
But even beyond that, what happens when someone's late?
