But, you know, that's the game.
We understand the concussion.
importance of looking after our players but sometimes accidents are going to happen and you know the grading of stuff we thought maybe we could have downplayed that because there was no second action in our view no driving you know the intent of the player was pretty much just to tackle and unfortunately he sustains the head knock and he's out of the game so we're just disappointed and it's just part of the game that
a lightning rod to most of us you know supporters commentators and we'll continue to try and work for our players and try and do the right thing give them the opportunity to play but we couldn't get it done something a bit more positive jack darling was great last week wasn't he yeah he has um and you know he's well over 300 games now and uh
Him and Luke Parker, Caleb Daniel have been good for us in their short time with the Kangaroos.
But last week he was sort of the best forward on the ground, particularly in that first half.
And we were struggling a little bit.

I think, you know, I've been through a few different clubs, you know, probably Hawks early days with Claycombe and we brought in a guy like Stuart Jew who had played a premiership at Port Adelaide and just to have that experience really helped the Hawks in that 2008 season.
I was at Melbourne during a rebuild period where they hadn't been very good for a long period of time.
We brought in guys like Daniel Cross who was a star performer for the Bulldogs and a real pro in his development and the way he went about things.
To bring those guys in with the Kangaroos who haven't seen a lot of success is really important too.
They can just steady them up with the way they train, the way they prepare.
They can give them confidence.
Boys, we're training them really hard.
We're doing a lot of things right.
We're really happy with those decisions to bring them in the club and our players have learned a lot off them.
Well, it is, but you've been around footy a long time because it's not as simple as getting one defender in.
