This comes as the U.S.

continues to pressure the acting government to free hundreds of dissidents jailed during the administration of ousted leader Nicolas Maduro.

There are reports that at least 600 dissidents remain detained in Venezuela.

President Trump is increasing tariffs on South Korean goods because, he says, its government has yet to approve the trade framework announced last year.

Trump says on social media that import taxes would be raised on autos, lumber and pharmaceutical drugs, with the rate on other goods going from 15 to 25 percent.

And on Wall Street today, the Dow rising 313 points while the Nasdaq was up 100.
