And I think that when you haven't coached for five or eight years or whatever, you keep your toe in the water down at Port Melbourne.

His main position would be to get the best people around him, obviously.

Like, I was fortunate enough to get people like Neil Danaher, people like, you know, basically, and then Mark Williams was a great coach.

There are people out there, and I'm looking at a text message here while you're speaking, and they believe that there are influential people that you're associated with at the Essendon Football Club that can make this happen, are going to make it happen, and you go out there, you start campaigning for James Heard, this is the absolute wrong thing for the club to be doing.

How do you respond to that?

Will you work, though, to try and help Herdy become the Essendon coach or not?
