I mean, he's got a long time left on his contract, as it is.

But they do want to be able to just lock him in.

They don't want to have him on the open market.

Because they're not learning.

But next year, maybe fewer umpire contact incidents.

Yeah, but you can't go from four incidents to two incidents equals a tribunal this year.

Four is the number.

And a club suggested to me last week, because the tribunal is the risk.

If you get to the tribunal, you might get a suspension.

Would a player who is on three in round 22...

deliberately make contact with an umpire to get themselves to the tribunal to get a week and clean the slate before finals.

That's one thing that a club footy boss said to me this week, which is an interesting point.

It depends how hard it is.

But did you ever use the umpire as a way to get away from your opponent?

If you're a recidivist, then it's careless, not intentional.
