Just in my community, giving back, helping with expungements, giving a lot of hugs and uplifting people, showing them, giving them hope because I am an older woman now and I don't want people to think you have to give up. You never know what can happen in your life. You know, I have been through some things and I always say, why me? But then I'm chosen to help other people. And that's my path now.

I said, I told my son, my oldest son, when I first came home, I told him, write a book. I'm like, I'm writing a book. To talk about what? I knew I had some things that I had to conquer, some things I needed. It was some more work that I had to do within myself. And when I talk about who I am and me, I want it to mean value. I want people to see I overcame and that I changed who I was. Yes, ma'am.
