A little bit, because you see San Jose trade Eklund for the ninth overall pick, and with how many good defensemen in this draft there are, you kind of almost go, okay, now it opens the door for them replacing Eklund with Stenberg.
And then they can go get whichever defenseman falls, whether it's Keaton Verhoff, Albert Smith, Multi Gustafson.
There's a lot of really solid defenders, even as you get past the Chase Reed, the Carson Carrolls, and some of these guys.
So it certainly gives you a little bit of cause to start creating new scenarios in your head, at least with the draft.
Now with Chicago potentially trading four to Buffalo, where do they want to go?
How much does that change the top five?
when we get there is, are they the team that now goes and gets a Vigo Bjork or are they a team that goes and gets one of those defensemen?
It's certainly going to be interesting.
Yeah, I think there's a lot of times we, especially when we get settled in, and it felt like in this draft year, by about
March we were settled into McKenna and Stenberg are number one and two and as soon as that kind of happened everyone's like well now we have to make things interesting so now we have to start talking about Chase Reed going at second there oh is Toronto looking at Chase Reed as the number one guy and I mean sure maybe but the reality is we end up with the two best players at the top of the drafts in all likelihood Gavin McKenna is this unreal offensive talent and Ivar Stenberg's
the most well-rounded player in the draft who has potential to put up some big offensive numbers himself.
So it's going to be really interesting to see what happens if those two do go first and second, and then all craziness could break loose after that.
Every year I do something on the hockey news where I look at the pivot points of the draft.
This year, the biggest pivot point in the draft is number three, the Canucks, the,
Whatever they do at number three, do they go with Caleb Mulder?
Do they go with the guy that has been rumored to be their guy for six months, it seems?
It'd be really interesting to see if they went that way.
Do they go with a Chase Reed or an Albert Smiths or a Keaton Verhoff, one of the defensemen?
