But even at this tournament, we saw some lapses in judgment, some errant breakout passes and stuff when he was trying to move the puck and the power play.
But this is an incredibly skilled winger.
He's a kid that I think he's leading the tournament or close to leading the tournament in scoring after the quarterfinals.
And for the Americans, Wyatt Cullen, I think, came into the tournament and proved that he was the best American-born player this year in the draft.
has all the skill, kind of dances around with the puck, can do just about everything, can really drive offense from the wing.
And you were questioning that because he missed a lot of time this season.
He was the only player on the NTDP that was a point per game, but there was a lot of time missed.
So like the 30 points he had didn't look all that impressive when you looked at it on the stat sheet.
So he was a guy that I think should get a lot of credit after this tournament as well.
He's a kid that has all the skill in the world.
It's kind of the situation of if any team decides that they're going to fall in love with a kid like that, then they're going to draft him, right?
All it took was Pittsburgh falling in love with Ben Kendall last year, and he went 11th or 12th overall and played a full season in the NHL.
And I'm not saying Cullen's going to do that or is even kind of that level of player, but that's kind of the situation that we're going to see with a guy like Wyatt Cullen and even a guy like Elton Hermanson.
I think it's a nice little factor into the formula, right?
I think you have to look at the season as a whole.
That's the biggest thing because at the end of the day, a guy can have a hot week or a bad week, and you can rise and drop your rankings in a major way.
But I think for the U18s, it's important because you're seeing a lot of these guys against their age group for the first time.
