They're like, we wouldn't draft him with a fifth-round pick.
Like different teams, different evaluators, everyone values things slightly differently.
Someone might value Morozov as a guy, for example, who is just a functional, really solid guy that you can trust that you're going to get something out of that pick 28 or 32.
Another team may look at him and go, I'm going to take a swing on a higher upside guy, go and drive Marcus Normark at that same pick because he's
I need a guy that might be a second liner or might be a top liner.
Whereas I know Morozov is going to be a really solid third or fourth liner.
I think it's a really interesting draft because there is no centers basically.
That's why we're seeing some of these guys get inflated a little bit higher than maybe they should.
But you're betting on the high upside winger or the defenseman that can move the puck or skate at an elite level.
Because after a certain point, you're not really getting that shutdown guy.
And if you are drafting that shutdown guy, you're not excited about it.
So he's probably a guy that you can get a little bit later.
It really is a draft where you're telling yourself you're either swinging on upside or you're just getting a guy that's going to be on your third pair or third or fourth line, and you're just going to be happy about that.
And I think we know different teams have different philosophies, and they're going to each kind of have their own mix of how they want to do things.
I think this year is going to be one of those years we look back on and go, ah, we didn't adjust very well.
And I think that's going to be something we all look back on in 10, 15 years.
And I've tried to do that myself this year because I'm, I'm a guy that's located in Ontario.
