I'm teaching your kid how to defend themselves.
Not come in here and play around.
They want a cheerleading with belts.
Exactly.
They want a participation trophy.
This is not milk and cookie time.
We're here to defend ourselves.
This is a black belt club.
This is exactly what I'm going to teach.
If you don't like it, sorry.
Take them somewhere else.
Take them to the mall, to the karate club at the mall.
Keep that all in check, but...
The one good thing that you can get out of martial arts is discipline, situational awareness, and at least they begin to develop the skills for self-defense.
And then as they move on and as they get older, then you can start adding things to that.
You can start adding weapons, whether that be the cat thing that you were talking about.
And then eventually maybe they go to bladed weapons or firearms or whatever the case is.
It all has to start somewhere and it has to be built up in steps.
So, well, and that's, again, where I go to the martial arts, because if you're if you're going to if you're sending them to a school where they're actually going to teach self-defense, I always like Krav Maga.
I like that style because it's extremely violent.
