Jenkins was on their radar, but ultimately he's re-signed with the Panthers.

He's currently sidelined with a calf problem, and Ricky Stewart has confirmed that this is it.

The curtain is coming down on the Raiders' most capped player, Josh Papali, an absolute figurehead and stalwart of the game.

Ricky Stewart described him as a god.

In the eyes of the younger Raiders players, certainly the Pacific Island boys, they look, and again, in Ricky's words, he says the players look up to him like he's a god.

Ricky went on to explain that it's probably too early now.

They still want Josh back in the next couple of weeks and him to complete this season in the best form possible.

But when the time is right, he will have a role at the club, and so he should.

It was really interesting when Ricky was talking about Josh.

And again, he was probably loathe to go too far because it's still in season and the career's not over as yet for Papali.

But he got to talking about Joe Tarpany.

And Joe Tarpany celebrates his 250th first grade game this evening against the Parramatta Reels.

And

Ricky being Ricky who has played with so many champions and so many unbelievable front rowers put Joe Tarpany in the same category as Glenn Lazarus and Josh Papali as far as elite front rowers in the game and where he stands.

And I would say this, I echo Ricky's sentiments in reliance to Tarpany.

I absolutely rate him as world-class.
