So now I wanted to talk about a little bit of misdirection.
We talked about him being a spy.
And the misdirection in this case is the nature of the story.
So we're reading the story and we're going through and we're thinking, this is a crime story.
Halfway through.
33% of the way through, half of it, it's a crime story.
When there's nothing supernatural about this.
Four-fifths of the way through, it's a crime story.
Only at the very end, the last sentence or two, I think it's a penultimate sentence, do we get the fact it's a ghost story.
Boom.
We've been completely misdirected.
