Um, we start talking to him and as soon as we tell him like, Hey, we stopped you.

Are you, you know, are you good to drive?

I check him out and make sure I'm like, well, he's not drunk.

He just drives like an idiot essentially.

So Kevin and I start, you know, Hey, we, we know what's going on and we're starting to put some pieces together in this whole investigation that we're doing essentially.

And we got a lot of questions for you and he's a real dick at first and doesn't want to, you know, anything to do with us.

And then all of a sudden it takes a weird turn and he's like,

There's a Frisch's right down the road.

You guys take me and buy me coffee and buy me some cigarettes.

I'll go tell you what happened.

And we're like, this is weird.

He goes from like, you know, screw you guys, I'm not speaking to you, to just all of a sudden, all right, you know, I need a pack of cigarettes and I need some coffee and whatever I want to eat, you know, I'll sit down and I'll tell you this stuff.

So I got put on cigarette duty.

I got to go buy this guy cigarettes or whatever because that's what he's asking for.

And, you know, he's not really detained.

He's just voluntarily saying, I'll sit down and tell you guys this stuff.

So we sit down, and he just pretty much that late afternoon just tells us everything.

It puts this whole, you know, murder investigation all together and stuff.

And ultimately his cooperation and his statements that day led to the, you know, to the conviction of –
