umpteen people that were involved in this so a great investigation it was is really eye-opening for me as somebody who just starts in this new unit and now all of a sudden i'm working hand in hand with you know this badass fbi agent his partner and stuff i get to do a lot of cool stuff but that is without a doubt the most interesting case i've ever worked

October 3rd of 2018, I got another case that drew a lot of attention in our area.

And what's crazy about it is the way our detective unit was set up, there's four of us and you're on call every four weeks.

So I wasn't even the on-call detective.

And I get a phone call from my wife in the early evening hours of October 3rd of 18.

And she's like, what's going on with this missing woman out of Riverside?

And I'm like, what are you?

She's in the know.

Yeah.

I'm like, what are you talking?

Like, I had no idea what she was talking about.

You need to get on this.

I had no clue.

And a friend of hers was a friend with the missing woman.

So this friend of the missing woman calls my wife, Kim, and says, hey, you know, is there any leads as to where Cheryl might be right now?

And Kim, of course, is like, I have no idea what you're talking about.

So she calls me and I have no idea.

So I'm like, this sounds really weird.

Is there like, you know, drugs or anything involved?

Because, I mean, you know, you got people who are on dope and stuff like that.
