wander off and you know vanish for a few days and go on this was not the case with her at all so she was a regular middle-class housewife with two daughters she was going through a separation at the time but the most normal average middle-class woman ever so I'm like this is really strange
So I'm actually driving around doing something else detective-wise at the time.
So I drive back to the police department, and I look up this woman's name, and lo and behold, there was a missing persons report taken that night, actually that same day at midnight, midnight October 3rd.
And the officer, Mike Brewer, a good friend of mine, he did a really, really good job on this.
The problem is,
The detectives were advised, one particular was advised that morning by the sergeant of Officer Brewer, said, hey, we got a missing person out here.
Well, you know, I'm not going to name that person's โ I'm not going to say who it is, but that person, for whatever reason, did not take this as serious as he or she should have done.
And โ
Now, to be clear, I don't really think it would have changed a whole lot as far as our investigation goes.
But that's why they hadn't jumped on it that morning.
Correct.
And, you know, I don't know what was in that person's mind that day or why this was.
If I would have been advised of it right away that morning, I would have been all over this because that's, you know.
That's our job.
Yeah, so it wasn't that long.
It was like all throughout the day, the day prior, which was October 2nd.
Basically, this is a person who Cheryl Cooker was her name.
She was always on the phone, whether it be social media or texting or talking or what have you.
And she stayed in constant contact.
