We have just a single incident of somebody getting shot and killed, and the suspect has obviously fled the scene.

So my supervisor at the time calls me and says, hey, we've got this.

You need to get into work as soon as possible.

So I jump off, grab a quick shower, throw my clothes on, and out the door I go.

So I get there.

And, you know, I'm assessing the scene, everything.

You got this guy, you know, this guy's dad there.

And, you know, I'm hearing that these kids are still there and they're all shook up.

You know, they just watched their dad get gunned down right in front of them.

So I'm kind of walking along the edge of the crime scene where the caution tape is and stuff.

And there's this, you know, very hysterical woman there.

It's Bobby Caldwell's new wife.

Her name's Candace.

So Candace is, you know, obviously she's emotional.

She can't cross over or whatever.

I'm trying to console her.

Dayton officers who were assisting us tried to console her as well.

But she immediately tells me, I know who did this.

Sterling Roberts did this.

Well, at the time, I had no idea what she's talking about because I'm just getting there and finding all this out.
