Yeah, it's just such a clear sign.
You know what I mean?
Yeah.
It's such a... Sure, like you'll see like a rattlesnake shake its tail or maybe a spider like pulls back up or something like that.
But when you see like a wolf lock into you and that teeth gets big and long, you hear that growl, the drool, there's most likely more than one.
You're just like, whoa, man, terrifying.
That's waking up some old genes.
That's evolution telling you, oh, I know this.
Yeah.
And you know, like that's been a battle that's been fought over as old as man has been around.
Truly, truly, absolutely primal fear.
But to reiterate, like the gentle curiosity that any apex predator, but certainly wolves can give you where they look like their ears are back.
They're sniffing a little bit.
They almost look docile.
and then they move into that snarling lips pulled back the wrinkled uh kind of that wrinkled snout dude that move everyone knows it too it's this is vivid in everyone's head listening because it also goes from that's kind of like a dog to oh my god because you're yeah there's no running you're done yeah what are you gonna do
What are you going to do, dude?
Start punching for the nose and hoping for the best.
Now, of course, as straightforward as this sounds, right, this fear and these tales coming out of Germany, France, Europe, we all know when the stories get passed through the generations, especially orally and especially over centuries, details can shift.
They can change with time, sometimes driven by the very same fear or sometimes for entertainment purposes.
You know, you want to teach your child not to go wandering into the woods.
