and the need for scapegoats.
You can really see this as a knee-jerk reaction to tribalism of any kind.
Just fear of people that don't agree with you, that have a different walk of life, or especially since you start to enter a little bit more of the modern historical Europe, where people can more easily travel, you can interface with people of different backgrounds more frequently.
And I think that that is an ever-present fear, right?
yeah i mean the same thing with you know like you were saying witches right there's scapegoating and that's just another way to broaden the target right which is mostly you're talking you're talking about females and then you broaden that to something like werewolves people are transforming into these things and you can go after anybody at that point
Truly, you really stoke the flames and the fears in people.

You're right.
The Salem witch trials mostly towards women and mostly fueled by religious fears.
In this occasion, it's mostly levied at beggars or people who are shying away from society or often recent arrivals to an area.
Again, you have people migrating around and it's just like, unfortunately, I don't know, it's part of maybe
i hope it's not forever like this human condition where we're always afraid of something that we don't fully understand even if it's our neighbor you know what i mean it's a terrible thing but you see it come out in ways like this throughout history that are deeply upsetting and truly sinister yeah it's just use an excuse to target people is what it is yeah

And if you're being tortured because you're being accused of something, eventually you're going to cave and just say, fine, end the torture.
I'm the whatever that you think I am.
I'm the Spaghetti-O man logo.
I'll tell you whatever.
I'll say yes to whatever you want me to say yes to.
Just make the pain go away.
Absolutely.
