It's very strange.
At first, the villagers are blaming the wolves, which make a whole lot of sense.
They're going to hunt a big piece of meat like cattle.
They might go after certain pieces.
I know sharks like to bite the liver or wait, maybe it's the orca whale.
They like to bite the liver.
Maybe that's what wolves like to do.
They like to go after the stomach and that's it.
And so the villagers are like, okay, maybe it's the wolves.
But then these disappearances around town started to progress.
Not only cattle are dying in terrible ways, but women and children are suddenly seemingly snatched from the streets.
And sometimes their mutilated bodies were turned up within a few days.
People then feared leaving their homes.
It would only venture out if they had armed patrols with them.
Those who were brave enough to travel between villages often reported seeing dismembered limbs in the fields and fences on their way between the towns.
And these circumstances reportedly remained unchanged for the next 25 years.
It's unclear why or how no one was ever caught or identified for these, it seems at this point, pretty obvious crimes.
You know, it's understandable if it's a wolf going after cattle or what have you, but now it really does feel like a true crime case when it's this consistent.
and it starts to focus in on people.
That just sounds like a true crime case.
