It does feel like that.
So as more time went on, people were convinced that this was a monster, that no human was possibly capable of doing this, nor wolves were capable of staying in the area.
Because again, if they're going out on hunting patrols or if they're going out at least armed, one would think that they would see this pack of wolves, that they could maybe chase this off and end this reign of terror.
And so whether it's misunderstandings, bad information, religious beliefs, or what have you, they're starting to think whatever this is, it's a monster.
And finally, things reportedly came to a head in 1589 when a group of children playing near a meadow saw a large wolf emerge from the woods nearby.
Before they could leave, they're kind of stunned, but they start to walk away or run away.
The wolf, as the story goes, grabs one of the little girls by her collar of her coat.
Now, apparently the collar material was relatively stiff, and so it confused the wolf.
It was unable to kind of penetrate or pierce this material.
And so the wolf kind of backed up, seemed a little bit concerned.
And eventually the wolf fled when the children then saw this this moment and started yelling and screaming and throwing things at this wolf.
So
The wolf then books it back into the woods, and soon after, not sure how soon, if it was immediate or hours, but villagers supposedly tracked this wolf down, went into the woods where they saw it left, they cornered it, and they went in for the kill, when suddenly, as the story goes, this wolf disappeared.
apparently just kind of faded from existence, but in its place faded in someone else, none other than Peter Stump.
Interesting.
So it seems like it completely disappeared and then Peter Stump appeared rather than a transformation is what it sounds like.
That or it sounds like they kind of walked into the woods looking for a wolf and found Peter at the wrong place at the wrong time and say, that's that smiling guy.
I was in my head.
I'm like, what is the visual transition there?
Yeah.
