It definitely stood out to us as we were researching this, but that's the first kind of inconsistency.

Now, when the parents of Henry and Ives both realized that the boys never returned home from their night hunt, they too began searching in earnest for their boys, not knowing what had taken place that night.

In fact, it wouldn't be until later in the following day that local police would contact both of these families after identifying their bodies through the dental records.

Because again, they wouldn't have known right away, just given the situation.

But yeah, I would imagine it's because the train ran over it if it truly is in a shattered state.

Now, ultimately, it's unclear if the families themselves contacted police or if police came forward to them first with the identities.

In fact, we wouldn't know why they didn't go to police.

Again, that's in the minutia.

We've seen so many different cases where people go to the police first or they do their own search and then go to police.

So the timeline of that day is a little hazy.
