However, this is where things get a little prickly.
Dr. Malik was close friends with the at-the-time governor of Arkansas.
Do you know who the governor was in the late 80s of Arkansas?
Oh.
None other than Bill Clinton.
Oh.
Oh, no.
It goes all the way to the top.
Sheesh.
We'll talk about him after this doozy of a theory.
He does come back.
There's, you know, some conspiracy around his involvement.
But yeah, so Dr. Malik being close friends with the governor, who was ignoring the calls from his constituents about the removal of Dr. Malik, kind of enabled him to keep his position.
Governor's kind of like, I'm focused on running for president and keeping my rap sheet clean.
Again, I'm kind of painting with opinion here, but there are some conspiracies that say, like, maybe he just turned a blind eye and didn't look closely enough to realize that Dr. Malik was maybe negligent and should have been removed.
Now, it wouldn't be, regarding Dr. Malik, until September 10th, 1991, which is four years after the boy's deaths, that Dr. Malik would officially resign from his position.
He wasn't fired, he wasn't forced to leave, but he did resign in relative disgrace, likely due to, per some articles in Arkansas, due to the mishandling of a number of cases.
So,
Justice wasn't swift in this case.
But again, I don't I don't know this guy and I don't know.
